Gareth Morgan doubted the existence of global warming but when he saw a boat marooned 200km from the lake it once floated on, he wanted to find the truth. ‘We hired two teams of scientists, one of sceptics and the other of alarmists and we set them against each other.’ After much research Morgan believes human-caused global warming is irrefutable but he says ‘people need their heads banged against the wall before they will say, the world is changing on us.’
