With the death toll steadily climbing, the residents look set for a laborious task ahead. "We have a grim and desperate situation in the Toowoomba and Lockyer valley" said Queensland Premier Anna Bligh, as the floods took hold of the capital Brisbane. "I saved four people but that was all," one man says; "We watched them float by screaming." As a massive clean-up operation gets under way, the people are desperate to get back to some sort of normality.
