Forever Young

Forever Young What's the secret of eternal youth? Human growth hormone and testosterone injections, claims the controversial Dr Life, just one of many LA physicians cashing in on America's growing 'age management' industry.
"It's important for people to know that they don't have to age like their parents", argues Dr Jeff Life. The 74-year-old physician has become a celebrity, showing off his muscled body in his TV ads. He believes that human growth hormone and testosterone can stave off disease. But endocrinologist Dr Braunstein considers anti-ageing specialists, "charlatans and hucksters". Another human hormones expert believes there's a potential danger in introducing growth hormones into a body which may contain cancerous cells. With the cost of the treatment running into thousands of dollars a month, for now it is only the likes of Sylvester Stallone who can afford the treatment. This protects the average retiree from what Dr Braunstein considers an exploitation of "people's desire to try to feel younger".
