Football Freedom Iraq may be free of Saddam Hussein, but better still for Iraq's athletes, the Olympic Committee is now free from his son Uday.
The IOC was really just a front for Uday's less sporting activities - imprisonment and torture. Even the country's best footballer, Ahmed Rahdi, went to jail three times because he had played poorly. Now Uday's gone, the future of Iraqi sport looks rosier.
