Laughing Tumour

How the internet beat an uncontrollable laughing disease

Laughing Tumour A group of children with a rare condition, which could potentially cause them to laugh to death, who found each other through the internet, and found a doctor in Australia who could help.
Gelastic epilepsy - caused by a benign tumour at the base of the brain - can bring on uncontrollable fits of laughter, sometimes resulting in unconsciousness. The three children and their parents had never met - or even appreciated that others were in the same position - until they found the internet. Not only did they find solidarity, but even treatment.
