The Palestinians Split by Israel's Security Fence

Concrete Curtain Palestinian families are being torn apart by the new security wall, which has divided villages and destroyed livelihoods.
The Palestinian village of Abu Dis straddles the border between Jerusalem and the West Bank. The village has been effectively cut in two by the controversial security fence. Villagers have been classified as Palestinian-Jerusalemites or West Bankers, depending on their registered address in 1967. But these classifications are destroying normal family life. Terry Boullata and her daughters hold Jerusalem IDs. But her husband has West Bank citizenship and is not legally entitled to live with them. If she moves to the West Bank she will forfeit her rights to live in Jerusalem. Israel claims that the wall is a necessary security measures and argues that: "the whole world should be on our side." But thanks to the security wall, Abu Dis has become a village of divided families.
