Howard Dean’s aggressive campaign made him, for a time, his party’s leading presidential candidate. But as his support dwindles, will he be able to stage a comeback?
“I’m shocked, shocked!” says one desperate supporter as Dean came a miserable third in the Iowa caucus. His controversial outspokenness and anti-war rhetoric may have made him an overnight hero but voters question if he is really ‘presidential material.’ However Dean has since managed to gain some lost ground in the New Hampshire elections and is determined not to give up. “We will not quit now or ever. We’re going to Washington DC to take back the White House.” The question now is whether the voters are willing to believe him.
