Shark Research

Shark Research An investigation into the dangers facing sharks, and how scientists are trying to save them.
In South Africa, nets are used to keep sharks out of waters surrounding the most popular beaches. Yet sharks, sting rays and dolphins get caught in the nets, and while teams inspect the nets regularly, they are often too late to save the creatures. This is just one of the dangers that sharks face, but more is being done to protect and understand them. A company is developing technology that senses when sharks are approaching, and more scientific research is being done on sharks to understand their behaviour and biology.
