At a training session in Chicago, a group of Christian pacifists are preparing for warzones. "We have to be ready to sacrifice everything if we're following Jesus", explains member Claire Evans. Peacemakers aims to put themselves between perpetrators and the victims of violence. But one mission went badly wrong when four members were kidnapped in Iraq. "It's a really bad feeling to call up someone and say 'Your loved one has been kidnapped in Iraq'", states Evens. Despite the risks, they remain opposed to an armed rescue attempt. Instead, they put their faith in the purity of their intentions. "When their kidnappers get to know them, they will surely recognise they are good people and release them."
