The streets of Hanoi are like no other. By 7am traders are getting ready for a day's business; by 8am, breakfast is being served. Trade continues into the dark of the night, with little room for anything else. Police attempt to regulate the commerce, but many have developed smart techniques to avoid being caught, most notably one hairdresser, who armed with a pair of scissors and nothing else can flee at a moment's notice.
