"Everyone was surprised cluster bombs were being deployed", confides an Israeli soldier. "We were always trained to think they were doomsdays devices." His unit fired 1.2 million bomblets, even though they had not previously test fired the weapons and were uncertain of their impact. Populated civilian areas in Lebanon are now riddled with cluster bombs. People are too scared to harvest their crops. Now, some Israelis joining the chorus for a worldwide ban.
