Ultra Christian group, the Exclusive Brethren, are alleged to spend millions swaying elections in Australasia. They seem to believe that only Conservative politicians can protect Christian interests.
"They see Green policies as evil in their very essence", explains Prof Peter Lineham. Green politician Andrew Wilkie claims the Brethren ran misleading, anti-Green ads and disrupted his meetings. In New Zealand, the Brethren are accused of launching a smear campaign against Prime Minister Helen Clarke's husband.
