Love and Betrayal in the West Bank

Love and Betrayal in the West Bank This is the inside story of an Israeli spy in Islamic Jihad. For five months, Bassam Mallah leaked intelligence to Israel. But after the leaders of his cell were assassinated, the spy was caught.
Deep in the heart of Jenin, a man is in hiding. Walid Ubeid is the last surviving member of an Islamic Jihad cell being hunted down by Israeli intelligence. They were betrayed by a former colleague. "My name is Bassam Mallah. I have been in contact with Israeli Intelligence" states a young man. When Bassam Mallah was caught smuggling guns, he was offered an alternative to jail. "The Israelis asked me to work for them", Mallah confessed. "They would show me pictures of wanted people and ask me about them". Following Israel's assassination of two Islamic Jihad leaders, the group planned revenge. Bassam Mallah was meant to drive a suicide bomber into Israel. Instead, he called in his Israeli handlers. "He inspected the safe house and told Israeli intelligence", states Walid Ubeid. Ubeid was sleeping outside the safe house when Israel's bombers struck. "The brothers inside became martyrs". Ubeid immediately began to trace the leak. Mallah was brought in for questioning. "We told him to speak freely, that he would not be killed". But it was a lie. Bassam Mallah was executed. His father blames the Israeli spy masters for what happened. "I tell the Jews, you killed my son".
