Digging Up The Past

Digging Up The Past To prove their master race theories, Nazi anthropologists in Vienna exhumed hundreds of Jewish graves. Historian Tina Walzer is convinced Vienna's museum still holds some of these remains.
In the heart of Vienna, locked behind heavy gates and fallen into ruin, is the Wahring Jewish cemetery. "It's the place where all the important people are buried", explains Tina Walzer. The Nazis exhumed between 200 - 300 graves here. Tina believes some of these remains are still at the Natural History Museum in Vienna. "I think the museum forgot that parts of its skull and bones collection come from the Wahring cemetery." But the museum claims all remains have been returned and that remaining Nazi era exhibits will be kept for historical reasons.
