Tribal Fights

Tribal Fights Papua New Guinea's highland tribes have traditionally used violence to solve disputes. But since modern weapons replaced bows and arrows, the fallout has been devastating.
"We kill them and cut them into pieces", states tribal warrior Moses Kauga. On agreed fighting days, hundreds of warriors shoot each other across the battlefield. Thanks to an illegal trade in guns, death is now more common than injury. Each death sparks a blood feud, continuing the violence. Instead of tackling the violence, PNG's politicians are believed to be involved in the illegal gun trade.
