Mother Courage
Machsom Watch are a dedicated group of Jewish mothers. They monitor how Israeli soldiers treat Palestinians and report their results to the widest possible audience, from decision-makers to the public.
Each morning and afternoon, Israeli women go out to 30 checkpoints in the West Bank and on the borders between Israel and Palestine. They monitor IDF and Border Police conduct, attempting to protect basic Palestinian human rights. "Our strength is in our weakness. We come unguarded and offer trust in people. We want to bring innocence back to this tormented place" says one member.
