Miracle Worker Held like animals in chains, cages and even medieval stocks, mentally ill Balinese are subjected to unbelievable 'remedy'. Yet good Samaritan Dr Suryani is dedicated to putting a stop to this torture.
Most women her age are taking it easy, but not psychiatrist Dr Suryani. "I help people who are not being helped. I want to remind the families, society and the government that these people are not useless." Her work is an example of how the right treatment can get excellent results. This lack of resources and financial support is putting Suryani and her volunteers under pressure. What future do Bali's mentally ill have now?
