Where We Stand
Defying sexism in the Mormon Church
This BAFTA nominated film tells the inspirational story of the group behind the campaign Ordain Women and their fight to see women recognised as priests, in the face of threats of rejection from their community.
"Its a universal story of people who wake up to the fact that they are not treated equally, and fighting back", states Abby Maxwell-Hansen. Abby grew up dutifully accepting all teachings by the Mormon church. But when confronted with the sense that their rulings on sexuality, race and gender were not the will of God, she decided to act.
