Cuba's American Tourists

Cuba's American Tourists Obama's historic visit to Cuba heralded a new era for US - Cuba relations. Over 230,000 American tourists flocked to Cuba in 2016, but can Havana cope with this massive surge in demand?
For a city with 63,000 hotel rooms, accommodating over 4 million international visitors per year is a struggle for Havana. The answer lies in homestays. Airbnb CEO Brian Chesky claims they encourage "people to people diplomacy" between the old enemies. Something he believes will encourage trust and improve US-Cuban relations. For local Cubans, homestays offers an unmissable educational opportunity: "this is my way of learning about the world...the people and the world - they come to me".
