Inspired by the diversity of expression contained with humanity's common experience, Michael Perlman has traveled to over 70 countries around the globe and for 15 years, has been directing and producing socially conscious, award winning films including the New York Times Critics Choice Eyes Of The World, PBS International’s Tibet: Beyond Fear, Comcast’s Free China:The Courage To Believe and Participant Media’s The 99%. His films have been broadcast around the world on television, shown at more than 2,000 private screenings including the US Congress, European Parliament, British Parliament, French Parliament and Google Headquarters, released theatrically throughout the US, incorporated into university curriculum across America and selected as an official Artist For Amnesty. The New York Times has hailed his work as "Emotional, Compelling, Riveting, Narrative Power" and Variety has praised it as “Intense, Passionate and Intelligent." Perlman is also a songwriter and recording artist with tracks that have been featured on MTV, an Independent Music Award winning CD, broadcast on radio throughout the US and tours that have included benefit concerts for Tibet, Save Darfur and Rock The Vote.
