Norway's Electric Cars

Norway's electric car revolution

Norway's Electric Cars The Norwegian market for electric vehicles has exploded, accounting for over 50% of new vehicles. With over 1 billion fossil fuel vehicles worldwide, now other countries contemplate replicating Norway's progress.
Norway's tax breaks for electric drivers costs the country nearly £1 billion per year. "They don't pay purchase tax or VAT, they have access to bus lanes, no toll tariffs or ferries, and free parking" says electric car expert Christina Bu. Ironically, the cost is easily covered by Norway's £1 trillion per year oil sales. But can other countries afford to switch to electric?
