Under the Radar (2019) on IMDb
March 15th’s terror attack in the New Zealand city of Christchurch sent shock waves around the world. The massacre of 50 Muslim worshippers was designed for the internet age: the suspected killer, a white Australian man with links to the far-right, live-streamed the events at Al Noor Mosque on Facebook. This ABC Four Corners film investigates how the suspect was able to operate under the radar of the authorities. It explores the rise of far-right extremism on the internet and asks whether security forces have been so focused on Islamic extremism, that they've failed to grasp the rise of far-right white supremacists.
