Fighting Season Between 2007 and 2008, renowned photojournalist John D. McHugh followed the US military during its campaign in Afghanistan. His report provided a glimpse into a typical day in a war ravaged nation for both foreign soldiers and local citizens alike.
Medivac, anti-aircraft brigades, and hunters of the Taliban. These are just three units of the US which journalist John D. McHugh followed during the War in Afghanistan from 2007 to 2008. In doing so, McHugh provided an objective look into the daily activities of the US military as the War on Terror swept through the provinces of eastern Afghanistan such as Khost, Logar, and Kunar.
