Resisting Lukashenko's Regime

The protestors fighting Belarus' authoritarian regime

Resisting Lukashenko's Regime The major international migration crisis at Europe's borders is exacerbating political tensions. This investigation reveals the fierce police repression of the 300,000 Belarusians who demonstrated in Minsk against the dictator Alexander Lukashenko in 2020. Lukashenko's opponents found in Poland a land of exile. This is where we met them. Activists, demonstrators, but also policemen revolted against this repressive regime and told us about the fierce repression they were subjected to. Thanks to their testimony, but also to the numerous videos filmed on the spot, the authoritarian grip of Lukashenko's regime came to light as what it really was: a merciless attempt to end in bloodshed the democratic dreams of Belarusian youth.
