Why being a tax inspector in Russia is so dangerous
A Russian tax police force came into being ten years ago. In a country still not used to paying tax, it remains one of the most dangerous jobs in the country.
Since the collapse of communism Russians don’t like paying taxes. So much so that last year 26 tax inspectors were killed and 41 homes burnt down. This report follows those in charge and part of the Russian tax police force.
