A year ago the Alexandra township was the scene of ethnic violence, it proved it’s reputation of toughest township right. A number of Zimbabwean migrants were killed. Alexandra still seems to be an ANC stronghold. Even though fifteen years of ANC government didn't bring much change about, they stay loyal. The one COPE militant we talked to in Alexandra spoke with sympathy about ANC-candidate Jacob Zuma.
... is 20, a smart girl with a diploma should be able to get out of the township but apparently not. When asked what the end of Apartheid changed to her live, she replied: We all queue in the same queue now, but my life didn't really change.
