easy; it requires stimulation

each day with a trip

warehouse where I live,

to the local pool/gym.

importantly it has a shower.

water shower, so every few days

to drive to the pool

but it beats a cold shower,

house, which let's face it,

it's usually just as bad.

record of my eating habits.

pizza, burgers, fries,

and gallons of soda.

me, but I can't seem to stop.

diet under the sun,

are always the same,

impractical to maintain,

but I really don't know how.

contacted by my friend,

to make a documentary

of the Japanese lifestyle.

10:03:30:13 10:03:32:25 As someone who grew up in Japan,

10:03:32:27 10:03:35:07 he knows how different their

food culture is compared

10:03:35:09 10:03:37:05 to the typical Western diet.

10:03:37:07 10:03:41:00 His idea was this, send

someone to Japan for two weeks

10:03:41:02 10:03:43:18 to learn how the

Japanese live and eat.

10:03:43:20 10:03:46:25 Then have them return home

and recreate that lifestyle

10:03:46:27 10:03:50:06 for a further ten weeks, and

see what effect this three-month

10:03:50:08 10:03:52:09 Japanese diet has

on their health.

thought of me;

of my good looks.

I did a little research

10:04:02:11 10:04:03:19 on Japanese health.

10:04:03:21 10:04:08:19 I found out that they had some

of the lowest rates of obesity

10:04:08:21 10:04:12:19 and heart disease in

the developed world.

10:04:12:21 10:04:15:23 They also have a

very low cancer rate.

10:04:17:11 10:04:19:18 The weird thing is they don't

seem to skimp on their meals.

10:04:19:20 10:04:22:17 They're eating all the time, and

it's a part of their culture.

10:04:22:19 10:04:25:14 So how is it a nation

that's so devoted

10:04:25:16 10:04:28:11 to stuffing their faces

is amongst the healthiest?

lifestyle that lets them live

get some advice on what to eat,

eating whilst in Japan.

way of eating very close

primarily a plant-based diet.

as far as I'm aware,

healthier diet in Japan.

foods you encounter to Japan.

we have salad,

something I'll need to adopt.

wearing an activity tracker,

activity the whole time

have my first meal of the diet,

at the motel buffet.

I went to sleep,

store and asked,

or to be honest do you have

and they said, "Yes."

of like children's chopsticks.

make it easy for me

keep falling around.
