In a mountain hideaway, a gang which goes by the name of Araguaney agree to meet with us. The youngest is 12 years old.

Known as the “puppies” this group operates as a youth wing, working for the neighbourhoods older and more seasoned criminals.

Believed to have over 1 million inhabitants, the sprawling neighbourhood of Petare in the east of the capital, has long been regarded as one of the most violent in the country. Passion Petare is one of few independent organisations helping youth in high risk areas in the capital. Almost all of its funding comes from donations outside of the country. The organisation has been the saving grace, your youngsters like Francisco.
