Four artists sail to an Antarctic island and find the remains of an abandoned whaling station. They bring back haunting pictures of a derelict industrial ghost town set against a spectacular landscape.
"This station meant death and destruction". Mitch points at the decaying buildings dating from the 30s. "But there's romanticism about them". He his fascinated by man's intrusion on a beautiful but hostile environment. Meanwhile, the proliferating wildlife testifies to nature's resilience. "This island is proof it can make a comeback, reclaim and repair itself over time".
