The picturesque snow covered peaks of the Scottish Highlands are gaining popularity. But as the number of tourists rises, so does the number of people getting lost, injured or even killed.
"The weather was atrocious and yet people were still walking into the corries in their droves", a mountain rescue team member sighs. Through deep snow and freezing conditions, tourists venture beyond their experience, in what has become a $750 million per year industry. As we join the team of "doctors... carpenters and teachers" who form the Cairngorm Mountain Rescue Team, we witness the immense danger faced by these volunteers.
