Afghanistan under Taliban control is a country ruled by might and fear. Capital punishment is rife, women's rights are non-existent, and violent anti-West rhetoric is everywhere.
Deep in the Taliban heartland of Kandahar, we share a local farmers ripe crop of pomegranates. "Thank Allah for the Taliban" he says, "They have brought law and order and protect our Pashtun traditions." And they have allowed him to profit well from his other crop - opium. Tax from this lucrative harvest keeps their holy war alive. Featuring interviews with the Taliban and with those trying to keep discrimination and harsh punishments at bay, this is an insightful report into a changing country.
