The Disappearance of Captain Nairac In 1977, Captain Robert Nairac disappeared during The Troubles, on an undercover mission in a dangerous area known as "Bandit Country". He was abducted by the IRA, driven over the border, and shot. Today, an ex-IRA member wants to discover where his remains are, in an attempt to lay old ghosts to rest. The murky story of a flamboyant yet enigmatic young man, whose life and death echo the violent and tangled history of the UK and Ireland.

Alison Millar — Director

Alison Millar is a highly acclaimed filmmaker based in Belfast. Alison has won a string of awards for her films including a BAFTA, Prix Italia, Prix Europa, Irish Academy Award, RTS & Grierson award. Her last feature documentary ‘Lyra’ premiered at Sheffield Doc Fest, winning the renowned Tim Hetherington Award; with the US premiere screening at Santa Barbara Film Festival. The film went on to win 17 International awards. In 2010 she formed Erica Starling Productions and has since Executive Produced and Co-Produced documentaries, forging effective impact campaigns and successful festival runs across the globe.
