US rooted Sovereign Citizen movement re-emerges globally

In the growing ‘Sovereign Citizen’ movement, ordinary people are imitating legal setups to enforce the justice they perceive to be more legitimate than the government. It involves resisting the letter of the law, telling policemen that they are breaching their individual sovereignty. “Let me put it to you that Acts only apply to fictitious people. I’m a living man, do you agree that I’m a living man?” Government policies restricting freedoms to stop the spread of COVID incensed a lot of the population. Incubated by social media, the movement only strengthened. The rise of this ‘Pseudolaw’ concerns Dr Joe McIntyre. “People that are angry and are willing to choose which laws to obey or not. This is not a laughing matter.”
