Shapla Ship Clinic

Shapla Ship Clinic The poorest region of Bangladesh desperately needs health care but there is none available. Now Terre des Hommes has come to the rescue with the 'Shapla Ship'; a mobile clinic that docks weekly to treat the local people.
People in need of health services will go to great lengths to reach the shores where the medical ship docks. "People walk maybe 10 to 12 km to reach our ship clinic", says Dr Rahman. Chronicling the life of the ship's crew, particularly the story of a husband and wife team united as a doctor and a nurse, this inspiring report shows an insightful and creative way to help a struggling community.
