Bhagdad's Art Scene After almost two decades of war and strife, Iraq's capital is finally experiencing a period of relative stability. PBS looks at how the battle-worn capital is witnessing the re-emergence of a once burgeoning art scene.
A small group of art enthusiasts gather on historic Al Rasheed Street in Baghdad for an open air photography exhibition. It's an unexpected sight in a city that has been gripped by violence and destruction for much of the past 16 years. "It was wonderful, it was very spiritual," says photographer Hussein Motar. "People don't see this daily and the world does not see this about Baghdad."
