'People from the favela want to make noise, to show that the favela is a lot more than what is being shown', says Karen, founder of ID Thrift Store. She is part of a growing number of young adults developing their local communities, from educational opportunities to locally-run trips for tourists that they hope will expand the horizons of the next generation of Favelados.
