Invisible Children

Invisible Children In Egypt, thousands of children do not officially exist. By law, only fathers can register the birth of a child. If he refuses, that child has no official status and cannot work, go to school or marry.
"Officially, I grew up without a name", sobs 13 year old Heba. "I'm the only one who is not at school". Heba dreams of being a doctor but without registration papers she has no hope. Like many men, her father doesn't believe there's any point in registering the birth of girls. Now one celebrity lovechild has brought the issue into the spotlight. Actor Ahmed Al-Fishawi refuses to recognize or register his daughter. His former partner, Hind, is dragging him through the courts. "I spoke to tv stations, newspapers everyone", Hind states. "I have to tell the people and our leaders that the current system is unfair".
