Riots in Hebron disrupted daily life. But in the middle of this anger something beautiful happened. Two fathers, whose sons died fighting each other, met and planned to start a centre to promote tolerance and understanding between Palestinians and Israelis. Sheik Yassin Badr is a Palestinian whose son executed the Jewish soldier Nachshon Wachsman, son of Jehoeda Wachsman, during a hostage-tragedy which shocked Israel last year. Badr's son Abd el-Karim, a Hamas fighter, was killed by the Israeli army during the rescue attempt to free the hostage. The elder Badr and Wachsman's initiative offers hope for the future of the Israeli-Palestinian Pact even though - sadly - both Palestinians and Israelis condemned the two fathers.
