Guatemala - Victims of the Railtrack
Every year, thousands of migrants jump on the Guatemala to Mexico train, hoping to make it to America. Those who fall off are often maimed under the train's wheels.
In the past eight years, 5,000 migrants have lost limbs or worse after falling off the train. "I thought I could live more comfortably in America but I went to sleep on the train and fell off", states one victim. "One of the wheels drove over my arm. The train crushed it." Others were pushed off by thieves who regularly target the train.
