Return to Lashkagar As the security situation in Afghanistan worsens, there's growing recognition of the importance of reconstruction. After their school in Lashkagar was destroyed, pupils turned to heroin.
"Sadly, it's not looking at all good", laments a former teacher. After the Taliban destroyed his school, he was forced to become a farm worker. But his concerns are for former pupils. "They get up to all sorts of trouble. Many have become addicted to heroin". People here have little hope of life improving.
