Chicago Blues

Chicago Blues When Barack Obama first claimed victory four years ago his message of hope, change and jobs resonated across the nation. But have any of those promises been delivered to Chicago's poorest neighbourhoods?
In Chicago's notorious South Side, gang warfare, violence and crime have long been a fact of life and it was here that a young Obama cut his political teeth working as a community activist. But as President, his promises of change aren't being felt. "We ain't employed. Nobody votes", says a local youth worker. But despite the lack of change, many still have faith in Obama. "Whoever got into the office, it wasn't going to be a quick fix. It will take time."
