In Japan, women are become more liberated in their sexuality. Women are discovering pornography, strip clubs and discotheques as a means to come to terms with something long regarded as a purely masculine domain.
Despite its frank and equal depiction in traditional art and culture, modern day sexuality in Japan is both conservative and male dominated. The tide is changing however; more women are exploring their sexuality, taking control of their bodies and pornographic culture. ABC Australia talks Chizuko Ueno, Japan's best known feminist, Milk Morizono, creator of one of the first female oriented Manga comics, and others, to access the changing landscape of Japanese female sexuality.
