Vegan Wars

Have militant vegan activists gone too far?

Vegan Wars The veganism movement has grown exponentially in recent years, but some feel it can go too far. Some activists are adopting increasingly extreme measures to challenge the ethics of animal consumption
”This is the fastest growing movement of justice on Earth”, claims activist and social media personality Joey Armstrong. He dedicates his energy to exposing the “use and abuse of animals” across the world. Lifelong cattle farmer Jonny Crickmore has felt the sharp end of this vegan activism. “Murderers, rapists…” He recalls the accusations made against him. Rearing and eventually slaughtering cows is Jonny’s livelihood, but Joey believes it is morally repugnant. Dietitian and TV star Michael Moseley cautiously agrees. “There’s no doubt that being vegan or vegetarian is a more ethical option, in the sense that it's very hard to justify eating other animals.” Synthetic meat production and insect farming are two intriguing responses to growing demand for ethically sound food sources.
