Jammu and Kashmir has felt like a battleground for nearly 3 decades. It is a place of tear gas and gunfire, of rape and abductions, but also of beauty. "When you face these situations, you feel compelled to act", says poet Zeeshan Jaipuri. "You feel compelled to write." This view of life on the ground goes beyond the everyday headlines.
