Murder in the Cove A cluster of postcard-perfect Acadian fishing villages off the coast of Nova Scotia made international news in 2013 when Phillip Boudreau, a local man known for poaching lobsters, was killed by fishermen in a crime the media dubbed ‘Murder for Lobster’. But as anyone from the community will tell you, it's a lot more complicated than that. What really went on in this otherwise sleepy, peaceful corner of Nova Scotia?

Megan Wennberg - Writer/Director

Megan Wennberg is a writer, director and story editor working in both documentary and scripted film and television. She has worked in the writing departments of The Trailer Park Boys, Pure and Seed and was a writer and director on the feature film, Hopeless Romantic. Megan’s first feature documentary, Drag Kids, premiered at the 2019 Hot Docs International Documentary Film Festival. Drag Kids has played at numerous festivals around the world including Inside Out (Best Canadian Feature), FIN Atlantic Film Festival (Best Atlantic Doc), Bergen International Film Festival (Best Documentary for Youth), Rotterdam International Film Festival, NewFest New York’s LGBTQ Film Festival (documentary centrepiece) and RIDM (closing night film).
