Building a Bridge follows a priest on his journey to make the Catholic Church more accepting of the LGBTQ+ community, despite loud opposition from both inside and outside the Church. Despite enduring vicious campaigns of hatred from certain groups - particularly the alt-right - Martin fights on to spread a message of hope and acceptance worldwide.
Shannon Post - Director
Shannon Post is a queer documentary filmmaker from Florida. She attended college in Orlando. Her first documentary feature, Circle of Poison, premiered at DOC NYC. Post is currently producing a documentary feature supported by The Redford Center. She co-founded the film production company Player Piano Productions, which creates social impact documentary films.
Evan Mascagni - Director
Evan is a former attorney turned documentary filmmaker and First Amendment rights advocate. He is passionate about protecting the free speech rights of filmmakers, journalists, and activists across the country. Prior to moving to New York City and starting a film production company, Player Piano, he was an attorney with the California Anti-SLAPP Project, a public interest law firm and policy organization dedicated to fighting SLAPPs in California.
