Looting Inca Graves

The looters digging up Peru's past to survive

Looting Inca Graves Peru represents an archaeological treasure chest with its ancient Inca legacy but the new president will have to move fast to protect the Inca sites, now being plundered by desperate Peruvian descendants.
The struggling economy combined with El Nino climate change, have stopped people like Francisco from farming and he is now forced to live off Peru's past. Of course it's the international traffickers who sell to collectors in the West that make the real money. We follow Carlos Huester, a Peruvian archaeologist who has dedicated most of his career to preserving his country's heritage. Now he is attempting to stop the centuries old tradition of grave digging.
