The USA's relationship with guns is being examined once again following the tragedy in Ulvade. Over twenty years ago, photographer Zed Nelson embarked on a project exploring the American attitude toward firearms.
'The thought that some people would want to take our guns away is ludicrous, the bad guys will always have guns', says Vicky, from a small American town. Photographer Zed Nelson's decades-long rapport with subjects like Vicky gives his work unique access to the minds of the Americans who support the right to bear arms. 'I witnessed the grim results of these weapons', says Nelson.
