Lost in Translation: A Migrant Story

A Migrant's Story

Lost in Translation: A Migrant Story From his native Eritrea to London: the journey of 23-year-old Mebrahtu, who first entered Europe as an unaccompanied minor, resembles that of thousands of migrants.
Mebrahtu has lived in Switzerland for six years, but despite learning French and doing well at his job, the government has refused him asylum. He has now made the dangerous crossing to England. ‘I almost died many times, just for paperwork’, he says. ‘We work with young people who have a lot of skills, we’re talking skills that don’t show up on a resume’, says Emmanuelle, who works with refugees to help them find jobs.
